Deportivo Alavés has been one of LaLiga clubs chosen to participate in a short formation stage program for players and coaches which have had the chance to train and experience what a youth player could feel under the blue and white Alaves Youth Academy.
The objective was to raise the competitive level of players and coaches through a global development approach and facilitate a new learning context which could provide more visibility for the youngsters and their coaches.
Fernando Iriarte, Director of the Alaves International Academy, reflects on this experience “This short training program under the Unleash the Roar! and LaLiga football program has been a great experience for the players and coaches and a real pleasure for our club to share our knowledge and resources with them. The fact that they have been accommodated in the Youth Academy Residence and the training sessions with the Infantil B Youth Academy team have made them feel like an actual youth academy player. Then, the morning training sessions focusing on the technique and knowledge of the game, the attendance to watch Youth Academy teams games and first team game against Villareal B and the Stadium and City tours have provided new experiences that I am pretty sure will last for a long time”.
The collaboration agreement with LaLiga is one the milestones of this ambitious project called “Unleash the Roar! “, fostered by the Singapore government, Sports SG and the Football Association Singapore, FAS with the main objective to unify the football efforts of the country to make it possible that National Football team, known as “The Lions”, could qualify for one World Cup. LaLiga and its clubs will participate in this program with different programs in the next two years.
